Last week I had the pleasure of traveling to New York to see some the finest collections being shown for Resort 2012. As always, I was impressed by one of my favorite, most consistent collections: Lanvin
The collection was stunning! I saw more body conscious dresses here than ever before in vibrant colors with rouching and draping in all the right places. The one shoulder emerald version of this dress was my absolute favorite – perfect shape, perfect color and of course an unmistakable exposed side zip. I also enjoyed the tweed group which was strongly represented in this collection. The fabric mixed the most appealing array of colors and was incredibly light weight. (rare for tweed) Albaz even included a knit tweed option that was composed of an even lighter fabric that did not loose the allure of wearing tweed. My third favorite group here was the gowns. There were definitely some stunners! Albaz made use of a rope/cord to accent the neckline and shoulders of many of his gowns this season. I am still dreaming of a long plisse mustard colored number that I am sure will be stalking the magazines (and me!) very soon…
I loved this collection as well! Lanvin is a favorite!
