I have recently been impressed with the growing success of Marchesa. The brand has expanded into almost every area of the luxury market by producing two dress collections, a wedding collection, makeup line, dinnerware and finally evening bags. The accessory line for Spring 2011 is truly stunning. Georgina Chapman and her partner, Keren Craig, have managed to produce evening bags that are just as breathtaking as the main collection. There are 21 different styles ranging in price from $1500 – $3000 depending on the style. My favorite bag in one of the more basic fabrications is an organza apricot colored clutch with the signature crystal closure. 
If you look at the Marchesa dresses for this season, you can see that the luxe fabric is also used for a short one shoulder cocktail dress. They are equally beautiful but please do not pair them together! The other two styles that I was particularly drawn to were the rouge feathered clutch
and the metal jeweled “ball and chain” inspired bag. 
Each and every bag in this collection is like a little gem to me. If you invest in a Marchesa evening bag, it will be in your closet forever.
