5, 4, 3, 2, 1….the best way to ring in the New Year is in a shimmering party dress! New Year’s parties are not the time for subtle tones and conservative cuts. Embrace your inner party girl (for one night at least) and wear a dress that stands out. Plus, your New Year’s kiss won’t be able to resist you in a sparkling ensemble!!
This year we saw a lot of glitter and glitz for holiday party fashion. The same applies to NYE attire as well, but with a move to more elegant metallics. Traditional gold and silver metallics are always a go but the absolute stand out for New Year fashion is the contemporary pewter tone or blue metallic hue.
Here are five of my favorite NYE selections. Let’s all toast to a great 2018!!
Stella McCartney | Padma Jumpsuit is the epitome of fun in a metallic silver textured-weave. This comfortable jumpsuit will be easy to wear till the wee hours. Plus, you can dance your heart out in this jumpsuit without fear of a “wardrobe malfunction.”
J. Crew | Yonkers Dress This. Dress. Is. Sexy. It is not too revealing, but this rose gold sequined slip dress with satin straps will have every man in the room drooling.
A.L.C. | Kravitz Lamé Halter Dress will make you stand out amongst the gold, silver, and black that are the norm for a NYE party. Plus, this dress is the only way to get away with the combination of lamé and pleats.
L’Agence | Star-Print Sequined Dress is a fun, light-hearted way to welcome 2018. The slip dress is on trend and the sequined star pattern is ideal for a celebratory party like NYE.
Ulla Johnson | French Silk-Lamé Dress is for the sophisticated woman who wants a high-fashion look with the low plunging neckline and ruffled sleeve in a muted gold.
The best part is that many of these dresses are on sale! So everyone can ring in the New Year looking fabulous. Now, all you need is champagne. Happy New Year!
