The origin of camouflage print was used by the army to blend in with their surroundings in hope to remain unnoticed by the enemy. I completely understand this concept and have the utmost respect for our troops and any individual courageous enough to put their life on the line for our country. That being said, I have always been drawn to camouflage print and army inspired fatigues for a personal, unknown reason. My obsession with Camo dates way back to my early days and peaked with my discovery of authentic vintage and most of all Great China Wall. (hot or not, dead or alive, I still rock my GCW pieces with the utmost comfort and pride) There are seasons when designers from Michael Kors to Balmain embrace my love of Camo, but 2014 seems to be one of the many big “Camo Years”.
I love that designers and consumers are recognizing how cool one of my fav prints is and always will be. However, I pride myself as a unique stylist and individual and do not love everyone ranging from high end to low end blowing up my spot!! Either way, do not let my favorite trend escape your closet before the end of 2014…
