Much like Carrie on Sex and the City, I just can’t carry a fake bag. Even if it is a good replica, there is always something that gives it away which is usually the lining or logo. Even if the outside world has no idea that my bag is not authentic, I will know and it will bother me. I think a great inexpensive bag is a good find, but a fake bag? Not so much. I was browsing style.com this morning and was glad to see that other people in the fashion business agree with me and have even started a campaign called “You Can’t Fake Fashion”. The CFDA has teamed up with eBay and will be selling bags to promote anti-counterfeiting. Apparently, over 75 designers have created bags that will be sold on eBay starting March 20. It will probably be one of my future purchases.
