Shop your own closet first. Give yourself a week or two to do any tailoring if needed. Amazing accessories can make an old look feel new.
Make Friends with Trends
Brocade, velvet, feathers and sequins are all on trend and ideal party attire. But please, save the glitz for the tree. There is a fine line between festive and tacky!
Go for “It” Girl….Not “That” Girl!”
Watch your hemlines and necklines at corporate events and don’t take a large handheld clutch when the night requires balancing a cocktail. Pick party shoes that will work for long nights of standing and please, be thoughtful about outerwear!
Bring Your Hostess the Mostess!
Thoughtful and creative gifts will leave your style behind well after the parties are over. Try coasters, coffee table books, olive oil, stationary, a plant (vs. flowers) or candy. Great gift wrap is a must!
