I was in Naples, Florida again this weekend celebrating the Winter Wine Festival. (That was insane and requires a future blog to explain!)

While most of my time there was spent enjoying the festivities, I devoted a significant amount of hours to wrapping up my pending orders from New York.  The first that I completed was Giambattista Valli who is always one of my favorites.  Every collection offers sophisticated elegance with a hint of sex appeal. This is where I saw some of the most genius fabric mixing and use of print. Many dresses combined silk,  gross grain and mohair in a gorgeous way.  Even if it was unintentional, the clever mix was perfectly distributed to prevent the lucky recipient of the garment from getting too warm or even worse sporting the dreaded “sweat stain”.  A few standouts here were the feminine suiting options, signature ruched dresses and the “confetti” print dress which was rumored to be the designer’s favorite.  It was my personal fav too, so now you know how important it is to read my blog!!!
