Well it is just a Vogue day for me I guess, because another dress in the November issue caught my eye. There is a photo of Mark Ronson’s bride to be in a gorgeous custom Zac Posen wedding gown. This got me thinking. If I was getting married and could have any designer in the world design my dress who would it be. Definitely not Vera. I am not a Kardashian. Plus, I find Vera Wang wedding gowns to be a little predictable for my taste. I love Oscar de la Renta’s work, and I loved Valentino back when he was designing the collection himself. Many may not agree, but I would choose John Galliano. I don’t really care what he said or what his personal beliefs are – the man can design a dress. In my opinion, no other designer is quite as innovative or has mastered the bias cut quite like Galliano. I am also a fan of his corsets. They hold you in and are surprisingly comfortable. So if you are reading my blog Mr. Galliano, please design my wedding dress!

I agree – Vera Wang can be very predictable and sometimes down-right unflattering. John Galliano and Oscar de la Renta are wonderful choices, I would also like a dress by Jenny Packham since she does classic and understated glamour.
