As much as I love Paris, As charming as I find Paris, there is one major
problem: taxis. My hotel refuses to order taxis for their guests, because
there is a taxi stand outside of the hotel. In fact, many bars and
restaurants also refuse to order taxis offering the same explanation. What
they do not tell you is that taxi stands are extremely crowded and that you
are lucky if one stops every twenty minutes. Taxi seekers, including myself,
eventually become anxious and are ready to draw swords when that rare,
coveted taxi finally decides to stop. A word to the wise, next time you
travel to Paris learn how to use public transportation or spring for a car
service!
