In celebration of Earth Day, I would like to take note of the increase in sustainable fashion available today. When fashion and sustainability are mentioned in the same sentence, Stella McCartney is the first designer who comes to mind. She is considered a pioneer in the eco-friendly space. Her ethically-produced and environmentally-harmless fashion includes using fur-free fur, skin-free skin (material that looks as good as leather), sustainably-sourced viscose, and regenerated cashmere. She has set the bar high on producing eco-friendly fashion and many other designers have followed in her footsteps. Tome, Amour Vert, and Cienne are just a few notable designers who are also committed to manufacturing clothing that is environmentally and socially responsible.
