One of the designer collections that I had the pleasure of viewing last week was Vera Wang. The collection was nice. One of my favorite pieces was a two piece coat that is charcoal wool with black leather sleeves and a detachable vest lined with a goat fur collar. It looked fabulous both together and separate. However, the absolute best thing about the Vera Wang Pre Fall Collection this year was the prices. I was happy and surprised to see that the pricing has significantly dropped. It used to be “the gown” to be seen in was designed by Vera. Now more people can be seen in her clothing. There are four beautiful gowns priced at $1500 retail. The same gowns would be over $3000 in past years. What does this say about Vera Wang? Is it better to be more accessible or less exclusive??
