Aside from the exquisite designs from Alber Elbaz of Lanvin, I also had the opportunity to see another amazing collection yesterday at Givenchy. Givenchy proves that leopard is here to stay - at least through another season or two. I urge shoppers to invest in a great leopard printed piece as it will carry them through at least the next year. It is one of the most popular and wearable trends these days. Riccardo Tisci, the hand behind Givenchy, also added an edgy twist by combining mini skirts with chiffon underlays. Skirts were also sewn into the waistline of pants as one garment. Another trend to note here is heavy metal. Over sized zippers and hardware accented many of the key pieces in the collection. Although these are the main elements that characterized the Spring 2011Collection, a hint of ruffle was present to remind us that this is in fact GIVENCHY.
