I am incredibly honored that my mother and I were featured in the September issue of CS Magazine as “Women of Style.”

It was amazing to be photographed next to my elegant mother and be in the company of four other incredible women of Chicago. The experience was a joy from start to finish, but I have to admit that I had the most fun styling our outfits for the shoot!

I put together my own look first and found something for my mom to compliment it. I wanted our outfits to make sense together without being too “matchy-matchy.” The fact that my Dolce & Gabbana sock booties match her floral printed Lanvin dress is sheer coincidence. I would have used any excuse to justify that purchase!

I did intentionally pair a great print with a solid, complimentary shade of pink when it came to our dresses. A solid, neutral shade was needed to balance the print and the print was necessary to bring it to life in a photo. I did not intentionally put us in the same designers. I am all about finding and wearing the best regardless of the label designer or otherwise. That being said, Lanvin has the most amazing dresses for Fall and Dolce & Gabbana has the most incredible shoe collection right now.

I have to extend a very special thank you to George and Ian at Lanvin Chicago and to Boguslaw, the best tailor in the city. Tiffany & Co., Elements and Marissa Collections in Naples, FL are all responsible for the clothing worn by this “Fashion Duo!”
